Wedding photography at Warbrook House, Hampshire – Sarah and Andy 11 Jan 2011 No Comments
Apologies but I didn’t get time to blog Sarah and Andy’s wedding, such a beautiful wedding it definitely needs to be shown!
Sarah and Andy had a stylish wedding at Warbrook House in Hampshire. Sarahs favourite colour is red and the styling was influenced by the 50’s. The bridesmaids wore red 50’s style dresses with a full skirt. They had bouquets of white lilies. Sarah had a birdcage veil and a bouquet of classic red roses. The favours were gorgeous red and while lollipops!
The light was amazing on the day, very soft and Sarah’s colour theme looked great with the autumnal colours. For the photographs of the couple, we took a buggy around the grounds and to the lake. The light was so soft I was able to do something I never do and photograph the couple facing into the sun, with some striking results.
We received the following email from Sarah:
Julie & Martyn,
Thank you so much for photographing our wedding. You captured the day incredibly well. We both felt very emotional looking at our photos.
Not only have you taken some amazing photos of us, you have also managed to get some fantastic photos of our family and friends.
Everyone has commented how wonderful they are.
We had such an amazing day, thank you for capturing those memories.Sarah & Andy Davis

Helen and Dan – wedding photography at The Tythe Barn, Launton, Oxfordshire 21 Nov 2010 No Comments
Helen and Dan got married at the Tythe Barn in Launton, Oxfordshire. They choose rustic reds and oranges, with a sprinkling of fairy lights to make the barn look magical. In the evening a ruin and the trees outside were lit up, we were able to get some more unusual wedding photographs.
Debs and Dave – wedding photography at St Andrews Church, Bradfield and Wasing Park, Berkshire 08 Nov 2010 No Comments
Debs and Dave got married at St Andews Church in Bradfield, a pretty village in Berkshire. In the morning it was raining but as Debs pointed out that the colours of the garden looked amazing in the rain. They went for an unusual orange colour theme, it’s a wonderful colour for an autumnal wedding.
Despite the dire weather forecast, as soon as Debs and Dave stepped out of the church, the rain had stopped and wasn’t seen again all day!
The wedding reception was held at Wasing Park, Berkshire, a relatively new wedding venue. In the morning, when we looked around the venue, we came up with our wet weather plan. Luckily the forecast was incorrect and we were able to go into the gardens and get photographs of the happy couple.
Martyn was able to do all the groups outside, while I captured natural photographs of the guests enjoying themselves.
Debs organised the wedding for a few months after Dave proposed. Apparently it was stressful at times but better than waiting! Debs looked so happy to be married, it was wonderful to photograph.
We received a lovely thank you card from Debs and Dave.

Jenna and James – wedding photography at St Marys Church, Cheltenham and Sudeley Castle, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire 31 Oct 2010 No Comments
Jenna and James had a fairytale wedding. Jenna got ready at Beaumont House in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, in a room called ‘Out of Africa’. The room was dark and exotic, which looked great against the bright pink of the flowers and bridesmaid’s dresses.
Martyn meet James at St Marys Church in Cheltenham, the vicar was lovely and I was able to photograph the service discreetly from the front and Martyn from the back. I’m not sure whether churches are becoming more relaxed or if we are becoming better at persuading vicars to let us photograph the service!
Despite rain the day before and after, Jenna and James had beautiful autumn light. The reception was at Sudeley Castle. With landscaped gardens and castle ruins, there were endless opportunities for their wedding photographs. We even took some more photographs at night, as the ruins were lit up.
Thank you, they are amazing, you have done an amazing job. Can’t wait to see the rest.

Neil and Lucy – wedding photography at St Michaels Church, Steventon and The Swan in Streatley, Berkshire 06 Aug 2010 No Comments
One of the best things about my job is seeing new places. St Michaels Church in the village of Steventon is like stepping back in time and its only 40 minutes from where we live. The reception was at the Swan in Streatley. I must admit I’ve wanted to photograph there for a while.
We photographed Neils sisters wedding 4 years ago in July, Nicola and Eamon had another red hot day and they also choose a riverside wedding venue.
We have had a look at the album you have created and we love it.
