Steve and Gill originally planned to marry abroad but their 6 children were upset at the idea of not witnessing the wedding! Instead they had an intimate wedding at the beautiful Shaw House in Newbury, which ideal for smaller weddings. Their wedding was made even more special by Steve and Gill saying their own vows and the each of their children doing a reading.

As the couple live in Donnington, I suggested we use Donnington Castle for some ‘romantic’ photographs. With the English weather threatening to rain, we were lucky to have the Donnington Castle to ourselves.

A limo took us back to the house, where an informal BBQ was held for family and friends. Due to the weather, a change of plan meant the formals were done back at the house. Martyn ensured these were done as quickly as possible, while all the children and their two dogs gave me some great photo opportunties.

The dogs collars matched their wedding colours and Gill made her bouquet and the button holes!

The chocolate fountain was a great idea and kept the children happy until the dancing started in the marquee.
