Claire and Gavin – wedding photography at St Michaels Church and Highfield Park, Heckfield, Hampshire 19 Sep 2010 No Comments
Claire and Gavin were married at St Michaels Church, Heckfield. This church is in walking distance of their wedding venue Highfield Park.
The vicar very kindly let me photograph the service from the front and Martyn from the back. This allows us to not only capture different viewpoints but also as we don’t need to move, we are more discreet. We always photograph the wedding service without flash.
Claire and Gavin took advantage of a cancellation and organised the wedding in three months! I was impressed by all the creative ideas. I loved the Chinese lanterns over the lights. The place names were on pears, in keeping the green colour scheme.
The English weather threw rain and then sunshine at us. In the evening we photographed the bride and groom under our first rainbow!
We had so much fun photographing this wedding, we stayed later than planned to photograph the Chinese lanterns being lit. Staff were on hand with fire extinguishers to ensure no damage was done to nearby trees!
