Isabel and James – wedding photography at Ardington House, Oxfordshire 29 Jul 2011 No Comments

Isabel and James got married at the beautiful Ardington House. Isabel stunning dress is Pronovia’s, it was the only dress she tried on.

The couple live in Singapore but fell in love with the grounds at Ardington House, with its countless opportunities for wedding photography. Isabels dream was to get married outside under the temple. It was raining in the morning but amazingly it held off as soon as Isabel made her way to get married, right up until the speeches.

What I love about weddings is the fact that they all have their individual touches, the best man composed a funny song for the speeches, we captured some great reactions from the guests.

So the CD arrived and i can barely get myself to work in the office….i cant stop looking at them, they are incredible. THANK YOU!

We couldnt have wished for a nicer and more professinal team to work with. You were so discreet i barely noticed you around and yet we have pictures of everything. We also enjoyed both of you and your easy going way which made us feel very comfortable.

I have friends marrying next summer and will tell them to get in touch with you. My brother is very upset with the pics of his weddings after he has seen ours ;)

Helen and Dan – wedding photography at The Tythe Barn, Launton, Oxfordshire 21 Nov 2010 No Comments

Helen and Dan got married at the Tythe Barn in Launton, Oxfordshire. They choose rustic reds and oranges, with a sprinkling of fairy lights to make the barn look magical. In the evening a ruin and the trees outside were lit up, we were able to get some more unusual wedding photographs.

Sam and Rachel – wedding photography at Ardington House, Oxfordshire 28 May 2010 No Comments

Rachel and Sam got married in the family’s church of St Andrews, Letcombe Regis. The reception was at the nearby Ardington House, Oxfordshire. I must admit I’d wanted to photograph a wedding at Ardington House, as we had such fun photographing our first civil partnership there. It’s also only 20 minutes drive from where we live, we travel all over the south, so it’s rare for us to work locally.

We’ve recently upgraded our camera’s, so we were able to photograph the first dance without flash, certainly capturing the atmosphere and discreetly too!

I love the vintage inspired flowers this year and Rachel’s Sopia Tolli wedding dress.

We absolutely love the pictures from our wedding and cant stop looking at the disc

Helen and Chris – Wedding photography at Notley Abbey, Buckinghamshire 14 May 2009 No Comments

Notley Abbey is one of my favourite venues. The former home to Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, Notley Abbey has been beautifully restored with an ideal balance of modern and old charm.

Helen fell in love with the venue as soon as saw it. The venue has a French feel to it, the groom Chris, or should I say Christophe has French origins.

Helen based her colour theme on the magenta colour of orchids. Large organza ribbon was used to decorate the walkway. The bridesmaids had magenta coloured dresses but each one was a different style to suit their different figures. The bouquets of orchids and were quite striking.

In the morning Martyn followed Chris and his ushers. Chris was quite relaxed and even had a little nap on the sun bed. Although at regular intervals he went over his speech.

Despite getting married in April, Helen and Chris had ideal weather and were able to get married outside. With the legal part of the ceremony being held under the arch, as technically you are not allowed to get married outside in this country! After the service Helen looked ecstatic and waved her bouquet in the air.

We took some stunning photographs of Helen and Chris, making use of the bridge, the love seat and the beautiful gardens at the back of Notley Abbey. Before the receiving line, we had some time to get a few photographs of them on the magnificent staircase.

The speeches were very emotional and funny, we were able to capture some great moments. Which I’m sure will be talking points during the future.

After the speeches, we took some more photographs in the soft light of sunset. Next was first dance, followed by surprise fireworks for guests, the evening ended with a great party.

Helen loved planning her wedding so much, she now works as a wedding planner in Scotland.

We’d definitely recommend you.

Wedding photographs at The Great Barn, Aynho, Banbury, Oxfordshire 23 Apr 2009 4 Comments

One of my favourite venues, the 18th century barn has been sympathetically converted to retain many of its original features and charm. There are beautiful and tranquil grounds offering plenty of scope for wedding photography.

Civil Partnership photography at Ardington House, Berkshire No Comments

Ardington House, near Wantage is a baroque house and an exclusive use wedding venue. We photographed our first civil partnership there. It was such a fun day, the Neil and David arrived on a Harley and wed under the island temple. We used the ample grounds for photographs. The wedding breakfast was followed by dancing to the Ceili. The couple left on a boat to fireworks, a spectacular departure!
