Wedding photography at Phyllis Court in Oxfordshire - Emma and David
Emma and David got married in the beautiful setting of Phyllis Court. We’d never photographed there before but it’s a wonderful venue. The service took place in the Ballroom with relaxing views across the Thames. I always think it’s impossible to feel stressed near water, which is great for any pre wedding nerves. From a photography point of view the room has great light, I discreetly photographed the service from the front while Martyn captured the room and full length dress details from the back.
After the service Emma and David went off for a short drive while we photographed their guests enjoying drinks on the balcony and the room details. Emma choose a purple theme, the flowers were very pretty and there were lots of lovely details to photograph.
When the couple returned after their coveted time alone we set up two long lines, so they could walk through a tunnel of confetti. Martyn whizzed through the group list leaving them to enjoy the drinks reception. The sun was beaming and it was an idyllic day. It was nice for us to see a familiar face, we were recommending by Emma's friend whose sister's wedding we photographed.
The rest of the day was very relaxed and blissful. I wish I could remember what was said in the speeches, we got some great reactions from the guests who couldn't stop laughing.
Just a note to say the photos are amazing and we love them- you have both captured so many moments and we loved reliving the day! Thank you :-)
